The Foundation for Medical Services, a public organization in Malta, oversees project management and technical services in public healthcare. It has managed major infrastructure projects like the construction and expansion of Mater Dei Hospital, as well as the renovation of hospitals and health centers across Malta and Gozo.

VACANCIES

HR Administrator

 

The main role of the Human Resources Administrator is to support the HR Department in its day-to-day duties and administrative tasks. The HR Administrator will be required to keep the HR Office up to date and together with the rest of team, support HR initiatives, policies and procedures.

Senior Administrator Payroll MDH

 

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the accurate, timely and compliant processing of payroll for employees, while maintaining reliable payroll records and supporting financial reporting, audit processes and administrative functions related to payroll operations. The role requires a high level of accuracy, discretion and attention to detail, ensuring full compliance with Government financial regulations, collective agreements, internal procedures and statutory obligations.

Junior Structural Engineer

 

The Junior Structural Engineer will provide professional assistance in architectural and structural Engineering planning, programming, design process and construction administration of projects. The Junior structural engineer may be responsible for assisting on multiple projects at the same time.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

 

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will primarily be responsible for managing the quantity surveying functions on major projects. He or she will report to the Quantity Surveying Manager and will provide support and assistance in the execution of any other duties as may be required to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Quantity Surveyor

 

Provides comprehensive quantity surveying and commercial support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, including procurement of works, goods and services, preparation of tender and contract documentation, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities and rate build-ups. Assists in contract administration, evaluation of variations, claims and disputes, while monitoring contractor performance, resources and deliverables. Participates in quality control and assurance processes, prepares and verifies interim and final payment certificates, manages commercial budgets and contributes to risk mitigation to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with corporate standards, contractual requirements and financial objectives.

Health and Safety Officer 

 

The Health and Safety Officer is to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective occupational health and safety programme whilst ensuring compliance with legal safety requirements and create systems to keep all employees aligned with relevant regulations. The H&S Officer will conduct project site inspections to ensure contractor compliance with safety regulations, while generating reports to uphold safety standards.

Electrical Engineer SHC

 

The Electrical Engineer forms part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for ensuring that healthcare facilities operate efficiently, safely and in compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The role focuses on managing and maintaining building systems and infrastructure to support the continuous delivery of healthcare services, ensuring reliability, safety and energy efficiency across the facility.

Financial Controllers

 

The Financial Controller oversees all financial activities of the health entity, ensuring alignment with operational needs. They foster relationships with management, promote accountability and ensure value for money. Responsibilities include reviewing annual budgets and providing feedback to Finance Managers and CEOs on budget submissions.
